28 & 29 June 2001 - Beijing Environmental Infrastructure Projects

A seminar was held on 28 and 29 June 2001"International Symposium on Environmental Infrastructure Projects in Beijing" in the Beijing International Hotel.

The Symposium was sponsored by:
- Beijing Municipal Administration Commission
- Beijing Development Planning Commission
- Beijing Foreign Economic Relations & Trade Commission
- Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipality
- Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau

BFISC assisted for the preparation and organization of the event that was attended by over 400 delegates.
Several speeches were made as well as presentations by the leaders on the Beijing Municipality, Chinese and foreign experts in the area garbage disposal and sewage treatment.
The event demonstrated the massive efforts to improve Beijing's environment, particularly in water treatment, sewage treatment and garbage disposal.
Details of the many projects being planned by the Beijing Municipality were made available to the attendants as well as the text of the speeches.

On the second day of the seminar, detailed business discussions were held and some agreements were signed.
