On 4 June 2002 a conference was held
in the Sheraton Great Wall Hotel for the visit of the Greek Prime
Minister as well as a Business Conference and Business meetings.
Speeches were held by the Greek Prime Minister (Mr. Constantine
Simitis), CCPIT Chairman Yu Xiaosong, vice Mayor Zhang Mao and others.
A very large delegation of over 50
business delegates from Greece participated. After the inaugural
speeches the Greek delegates had business discussions for the rest
of the day at their individual desks in a large conference where
they met many Chinese companies.
Several Greek delegates also had meetings
with BOCOG and the Chinese Government expressed interest in exchanging
experience with the Athens 2004 Olympic Committee.
BFISC assisted in organizing the Conference.
