The Lord Mayor also met with the Beijing Development Planning Commission (BDPC) on 22 October, accompanied by senior representatives of the British Embassy in Beijing and the China-Britain Business Council.
BDPC was represented, among others, by Mr. Shen Baochang (director), Mr. Liu Zhi (deputy director), Mr. Liu Bo, Mr. Gilbert Van Kerckhove and Ms. Sun Bin.
Both sides exchanged ideas on possibilities for the City of London to join the projects for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
